Inductry project week (final)

This week is the final week of the inductry project. I was completely stress out although I have designed more than 50 garments, but I was not turst myself , so I was keep designing until I felt happy with it. And It was very helpful that my team mates gave me a lot of energy and confidence, notthing is more important than giving some suggestion or  ideas,. Therefore, working in team is much easier to completed a tone of task in such a short priode of time.
 
Because this project needs to combine designes with other designers' work as one collection. I tried to selected the final that can fitted in my group concept and the print design from my team mate.

The final design was quite sucessful, the print works better than i was expected, although givenchy doesn't used that much colour, however, I felt it still fitted with the givenchy style. I can imaging how the lining mash , lather and so I believe my designs are unique compare with other teams because we design more simple and commerical collection, so the chllage is bigger than the other teams.

This is my first time to achieve the project in a team of people, so I was a little bit worried because I am not good at communicated with other people by speaking in English, so sometime I even don’t know how to share my thought and ideas in front of people. Also I never work a project as a team of people who are unfamiliar.

My team were decided to choose the fashion company GIVENCHY as our project. This is the great choice to me because I know Givenchy very well, and no other team was picking Givenchy which mean we have less competition in the class. And the best thing was my teammates had so much passion on this brand and the project, so it was a good start!

Because only has few people picked this choice, so the teacher decided to join people from other group in my team. Luckily my team was very intact, we had 3 designers( included me) to work for women and men collection, 2 textiles designers and 2 promotion teammates   

　　

Here are the mind map about the ideas from the quote and our individual concept, we share ideas to others and tried to cooperate all the unique ideas. From the beginning, I was scared to share my thought and felted very confused about everything because I didn’t get used to talk in front of people and I didn’t understand what is the quotes about. However, my teammates were super kind to explain the whole project and their idea to me , so I felted more comfortable and had a clear direction. During the first day, I got a lot of help and we suggested so many attractive concept which made us get more and more excited.

 

We picked word and join those together as one short sentence:

“All holy is profaned. Be a traveler.”

After we discussed our general concept, we were created a mood board on pintrest.com, this allows us to save and share images so that we could understand all of our ideas and the inspiration from the images were very helpful for us to design our collection, because I understand this aim of the project is very important to show the team work.

This week task was to learn how to create story board and present the story by taking photographs.

I think creating story with other people gives me a lot of opinions and ideas to me which is very helpful, specially the reviews from other people who judge my work. 

I also learn that working in team is very important to have same thought and share ideas to people so that people would know what I thinking about. 

However, I really don't like this project because the rest of the lesson was super boring, I just enjoyed the moment of making animation .

Story Board tutorial day2 !!!

 This story board was made with a group of people. The inspiration is comes from the objects that we brought into the lesson and created 3-5 characters , then shared all ideas in group and made up a story together.

 I like the way that we present in pen illustration and paint very vibrant colour on the main characters, that is very eye catching and easy to understand for the audiences.

What is the special thing  about the girl character is very mystery, you never see her face. I think this  is interesting to set a character like this because I think the idea would impress people and remember this character.

 This lessons based on photography introduction and how the cameras work.

Then I have done the task in the lesson which is to take five photographs which have different meaning like, happy, sad, jumping, falling and crush ect... I was confused at the beginning because it was challenging to not taking pictures obviously show the meaning. However, I completely the task finally, but I was not happy with the exposure because the images is a bit too dark.

Graphic day 3: 6 squares design

Today is the final day of graphics, I had quite much fun during the lesson , especially the drawing face excise. Also, I am very enjoyed the process of designing the 6 squares because I love to design some iconic images which can show my personal and make people impress about me.
However, the time management  is my weakness , I always could finished before the deadline, I have no idea how can keep myself to work faster. Therefore , I really need help about this!
Overall, I think my final outcome is looking the same as I expected, so I am happy with that.

this is the outcome of the 6 squares, I design to made these squares into a dress form to show how much I love fashion. And I stick the paper model which I cut it from magazine.
